We are a CPA firm that specializes in tax and computer consulting. We have several industry specific programs that we have written and can provide software for companies that cannot find an "Off the Shelf" answer for their needs. Now, meet the people that make it happen!
Rudolph B. Hood, CPA- Rudy joined the United States Navy August 1942 (click here for my war stories) and was commissioned an Ensign and Naval Aviator November 1943. He joined Air Group Six and flew torpedo bombers off the carrier U.S.S. Hancock in the south pacific until the end of World War II. After four years in Navy, he went to the University of Houston. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1948. After working in industry for nine years, he started his own bookkeeping and tax practice helping small businesses and individuals become more profitable through sound business advice and up to date tax strategies.
Glenn House, CPA - Glenn began working with Rudy in 1984. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Houston Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in accounting and computers. Glenn's specialties include accounting systems, corporate taxes, individual taxes and computers. He has written numerous programs to help businesses, when off the shelf software would not fulfill their needs. In Feb. 1990, Glenn’s wife Peggy became an independent distributor for Premier Designs Jewelry. This also marked the beginning of the Premier Jeweler Software. We have enjoyed a close relationship with Premier Designs throughout the years, becoming a Premier Partner in May 2005.
Jennie Hackworth - Jennie (Jen) began working for Hood & House in June of 2004 as part of our software tech support staff. She was a jeweler with Premier Designs for five years and has an intimate knowledge of both the Premier Designs jewelry business and our software. In June of 2007, she was promoted to manager of our tech support staff.
Sherry Rushing - Sherry was a jeweler for Premier Designs and loves Premier Designs jewelry. She began working part time providing tech support in April 2008. She also works with her husband who has a full time evangelistic ministry called “Back Pack Evangelism”.
Rhonda Bedee - Rhonda has been a hostess and customer at Home Shows for several years but she discovered the software available for Jewelers when she began providing part-time tech support just before Hurricane Ike blew in, September 2008. As of January 2009 she works with Jewelers full-time. She is the wife of David and mom of three.
Barbara (Babs) Bridgwater - Babs is the most recent addition to our tech support team. She started working part time in January 2009.
Cliff House - Cliff is Glenn’s oldest son and has worked for the company off and on for many years. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ouachita Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre. Cliff has always had a creative flare and an eye for what looks good. He established the newsletter and designed the web site. He is currently a working actor, but he is still consulted on an as needed basis for design help, web site maintenence, and some technical support.
Aaron House - Aaron is the younger of Glenn's sons and has worked for the company off and on for many years. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ouachita Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre. He is currently a working actor and has also created a ministry called Piercing Word.
